
The Food Service Division manufactures and distributes environmentally-preferable food service supplies to local/regional and national customers.
The objective of a Territory Salesperson is to generate new sales of Eco-Products’ line of compostable and renewable food service products with all sizes of foodservice customers through an existing distribution network. This will be an outside sales position with a focus on existing distributors and end-customer accounts. Typical target accounts will include all sizes of direct-sales accounts (i.e. stadiums, universities, restaurants, offices, cafes, etc.). The position reports to the Regional Sales Manager of the Division. There are two positions available: Salt Lake City, UT and Houston, TX.
1. Supports, demonstrates and promotes the philosophy and company mission of Eco-Products
2. Spends 40% of time in the field with existing distributors to generate new sales
3. Spends 20% reaching out to existing distributors to generate interest and leads
4. Spends 20% of time on direct-sales accounts
5. Spends 20% of time generating new distribution
6. Generates sales leads lists
7. Assists with any order processing and fulfillment as needed
8. Participates in other sales and customer service activities as requested
Ability to build strong relationships and close sales. Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal. Strong customer service skills and the genuine desire to go the extra mile for the customer. Self motivated and willingness to contact dozens of new accounts per day with the possibility of rejection on each call. Strong computer skills. Must be flexible in adapting to changes that occur as part of a growing small business. Must be willing to work independent while also being a strong team player.
The majority of each day will be calling new customers to increase sales for the division. In addition, this person will work with the Sales Coordinator to ensure orders are processed smoothly and customers receive excellent customer service. The position will be located in the territory. Travel by car and plane will be required. This job is extremely self motivational.
