“Failing” is  an opportunity to try a different approach. Our team knows the challenges of waste diversion and how to overcome them.

Foodservice packaging falling into compost heap

Overview

Syracuse University was recovering from a failed attempt to convert disposables on campus to fully compostable

Challenge

Problems with another brand’s products forced SU to revert to traditional packaging. Lack of a full bundle and poor product performance were cited as the biggest contributors.

Solution

We worked with Johnston Paper to position Eco-Products as the best-in-class green packaging partner. Our Acxion rep Chris Kilmer’s incredible relationship with the SU purchasing team helped propel the project forward.

Results

SU started purchasing from the Eco-Products bundle and have been consistently using it to grow their post-consumer collection program across campus. Onandaga County Resource Recovery Agency trusts our ability to provide BPI-Certified product and consult with operators to keep collection programs running smoothly.
