QR Codes on Cold Cups

Going forward, QR Codes (left) will only be printed on custom paper hot cups and soup cups. Tags (right) may be printed on cold cups as well.
Unfortunately, we can no longer offer QR codes on custom cold cup prints.
While we are happy to print a QR code on paper hot cups and soup cups, we’ve had some disappointing print results on the cold cups. The printing process used on cold cups can’t seem to capture enough detail in the QR code graphic. That lack of detail, in combination with unreliable QR code scanner apps has led to some unhappy customers. To prevent more unhappy customers, we decided to discontinue that service.
The good news is, if a customer still wants a 2D barcode experience on their cold cups, we can offer Tag. We have had consistently good results with Tag and the Tag Reader app on cold cup prints – we are even confident enough to use it on our own cold cup prints.
