EZ Office Products' Commitment to Sustainability

If a business service award was created for being a “good neighbor,” Gary Molz would definitely be nominated year after year. Gary and his life partner, Rose started their business, EZ Office Products, in 2006. It is located in Madison, Wisconsin. Today, EZ Office Products leads Wisconsin in providing environmentally conscious office products. Gary expresses his mission with a simple yet clear message, “we help people”. This is hallmarked by the fact that PZW Jamie Brown just worked with Gary to add composting at his facility, making his business the first “zero waste” distributor in the office channel across the Eco-Products footprint.

Gary’s humility shines in whatever he focuses on at work, as a volunteer, and as a lover of hiking. As a leader in his community, Gary networks with business professionals for the purposes of sharing information especially when it involves collaborating to expand sustainability practices. As an active member of Sustain Dane, he successfully connects individuals, businesses, organizations, and local government to generate productive change to grow sustainability. Gary also leads local initiatives that support local food pantries, clothing drives, and diaper deliveries. At work, enjoys helping people find the products they need. Whether Gary is loading a truck or meeting with the mayor, he is dedicated to providing customers the kind of value rarely available elsewhere.

Gary is continually finding unique opportunities to add value for his customers. EZ Office products stocks a wide array of compostable items, and sends their team members to see customers during evenings hours to restock supply and copy rooms. They’ll even remove product packaging for recycling! Building trust with persistence is part of Gary’s nature, and he has earned the business of many of WI’s largest employers.

As a distributor for Eco Products, Gary is known for his curiosity and his ability to collaborate effectively. Gary asks meaningful questions and regularly calls on his Eco-Products team, which includes Mike Pusatera, National Sales Manager-Office Channel, Product & Zero Waste Specialist, Jamie Brown, as well as Midwest Resource Group Broker, Gina Sinner. Over the past few years, this team worked together to research the feasibility for composting in Madison, Wisconsin located within Dane County. Through diligent teamwork they developed a successful strategy to support the first composting solution by engaging with a specific composter, Green Box Compost, also of Madison, Wisconsin. This collaborative effort expedited a composting solution for communities within Dane County. Gary’s many achievements continue to help his neighbors and the communities he serves.
